There are plenty of iPhone apps out there to entertain, organize and give us the best in technology, but most of the good ones will cost you something, even if it’s only a few dollars. Considering that there are thousands of iPhone apps available, those few dollars can really add up, yet you want to get the best capabilities out of your phone. The truth is, however, that there are many iPhone apps that are completely free. They might not download your entire music library, but they might help you find where you are going or better organize your brain clutter. Check out these useful apps that come free for the asking.

Flashlight – A flashlight always comes in hand, and this free iPhone app turns your phone into one. Sending off bright illuminating colors, this app makes it easier to go down stairs in the dark, root through your car for those keys or read a book in the dark. This is one of those iPhone apps that are definitely worth keeping around.

iBear Timer – Keep track of the exact time that’s elapsed after an important event, or keep tabs on how long you’ve got until a big event happens, right down to the second. This iPhone app is great for planning, but it also makes a nice conversation piece to know how long you’ve got until that luxury cruise. Useful as well as fun, this is one of those iPhone apps that make time keeping a little easier.

If Found Please – If you lose your iPhone, this app might help you find it again. It’s simple but useful, displaying customized information on your wallpaper so someone knows how to locate you if they find your phone. It even works when the phone is locked.

Lotto Shake – Want to play the Lotto but run out of number combination’s? With this iPhone app, you just shake the phone for a random number combination. It works for the Daily Play, Thunderball, the UK Lotto and Euro Millions. If your iPhone number wins, there’s no reason you have to share the winnings with your iPhone, but it might be nice if you took it out to dinner to show your thanks. iPhone apps need to feel appreciated.

Scour the web and you’ll probably discover iPhone apps that tell you how long it’s been since you did laundry. The iPhone puts technology in the palm of your hand. Some are good for fun; others get down to business. Here are a few of the best iPhone apps in town.

Bailout Wars – Wall St. make your finances collapse? Get even with Bailout Wars. While the graphics are just all right and you’re not going to get blown away, the humor will cure your social angst. Graphics are just okay, but blowing away corporate executives as they loot the Federal Reserve is pretty tough to beat. Many iPhone apps are out there to waste your time.
